Sindragosa

I'm sorry for the lack of video on this fight but I strive to make good videos for each encounter and that just hasn't happened yet with this fight. I will have one up as soon as I can.

This fight is a very intense dance and will take some getting used to for your raid team but once you get the dance down its pretty simple. Don't get frustrated if it takes you a while, its one of the last bosses in ICC its supposed to be hard. This fight is made up of 3 different phases. Phase 1 will be when he is on the ground at the beginning and after all the second phases which will be when he goes into an air phase. Phase 1 and 2 alternate from 100% of the bosses health to 35% of the bosses health.

Phase 1 (Land):

First of all during this phase sindragosa will use Frost Aura which is extremely similar to Shroud of Sorrow in the Blood Queen Lana'thel encounter. So I once again I wanted to spread Rejuvenation out over as many raid members as possible, and once again I switched out Glyph of Rapid Rejuvenation for Glyph of Wild Growth. This fight is very different from the Blood Queen Lana'thel encounter because well for one you won't be constantly able to send out more heals because of Unchained Magic which will cause you to gain a stack of Instability and when the stacks run out (which will happen after 8 seconds go by without you casting any magic) you will be hit with 2,000 Arcane Damage for every stack that you have. This does not mean that you should stop casting because lots of members will get this debuff and you can't afford to all stop casting. You can stack your Instability up to whatever fits you but make sure to give yourself a nice cushion just in case your already down on health when it goes off. I suggest that you don't let it get over 8 stacks, or you could pop Barkskin and go a bit higher, be aware that Barkskin will add a stack however and don't cast barkskin then stack them up higher and let barkskin fall off first. Some good news is that transforming does not add a stack and you may be wondering why would I shape shift during a fight? But don't worry I will get to that in a minute.

Next thing that will happen 1 time in between each phase alternation is Icy Grip and Blistering Cold. Yes you guessed it sindragosa will cast Icy grip then blistering cold immediately after so you will be pulled in and then have 5 seconds to get at least 25 yards away, if you fail it will one shot any non-tank. Ready for the good news? Well Sindragosa's room is all outside so you can use Travel Form to get out of Blistering Cold as fast as possible after Icy Grip without leaving too much room for error.

Phase 2 (Air):

When you enter this phase sindragosa will choose 2 members to cast Frost Beacon on (5 on 25-Man). After 7 seconds it will trigger Ice Tomb. During the 7 seconds provided before they are put on Ice your raid members will have to make sure they get away from fellow raid members (This includes other members who were marked). But also in a convenient spot for your raid members to use you to line of site Frost Bomb which will choose a spot to land and will be shown so that your raid members can run around the Ice block and make sure they are out of line of site of the bomb. After she begins to come out of Phase 2 the Ice tombs will start doing quite a bit of damage to those inside them and will need to be broken out. So you want to dps them down during phase 2 but have them broken out some time between the end of phase 2 and the beginning of phase 1.

Phase 3 (35% - 0%):

Right when you think you are getting used to the fight and got it down, you enter phase 3 and realize you don't know anything yet.

First I would like to cover the abilities that carry over from phase 1 which are Frost Aura, Icy Grip, Blistering Cold, and Unchained Magic. A couple of abilities you will recognize from Phase 2 are Frost Beacon and Ice Tomb. The new ability that will be introduced during this phase is Mystic Buffet.

The skills that all come back from phase 1 can just be handled the same way you dealt with them in phase 1. The ice tombs however will need to be dealt with differently. Frost Beacon will only be cast on 1 person at a time and they simply have to run out of range of the rest of the raid and then drop the tomb. But you have to make sure not to be too far away from the rest of the raid because everyone else will be using your frost tomb to line of sight Sindragosa so that their Mystic Buffet will fall off. You don't want to break out the ice tomb too early either or there will be way too much time between frost tombs and the Mystic Buffet debuff will stack too high and kill some people.

This phase like the others is not too hard it just takes coordination and getting used to.
