Festergut

That was fast huh? Well the entire fight is pretty much a dps race and that is a lot of just sitting there and watching me cast, so I decided to speed it up a bit :) and you could still see what to do and my Healbot right?

First thing to notice about this encounter is that at the beginning of the fight and after each pungent blight you'll notice my healbot goes crazy with raid heals, so be ready for that. In between it will be a major tank healing fight, not both tanks just the one that has agro and you will have to be rolling heavy mitigation's on them constantly. The closer you get to pungent blight the more Festergut will hit for so it just gets worse until blight happens. Festergut will be putting debuffs on the tanks and once the debuff gets to 9 the other tank will taunt off and you have to be ready to keep them alive cause Fester hits fast and hard as soon as the other tank gets agro.

Next thing to notice is the spores, when they spawn you'll get 2 on 10-Man version and 3 on the 25-Man version and you have to make sure you get to one and get the debuff because it will protect you from getting killed during the pungent blight, you don't want to get more then 1 at a time though or things get pretty bad so you can't have the entire raid gather in one spot. Basically you will only need to stand in range of the tank and melee and the other two can be in range. We have a few dps that never worry about getting any of the spores because they can pop something that will reduce all the damage they would have taken from pungent blight, for example shadow priests can use Dispersion and mages can use Ice block but only for 1 of the blights as it will be on cool down for the next one. The damage on tanks will not stop while you run to the spores so make sure to heal while you are running. We choose to have a couple healers in with the melee as well as a couple 'rev-up ranged dpser's however if you do this you have to make sure to not do it too much or you will cause melee to throw up and wipe the raid. I always pop Barkskin right when pungent blight pops up on my deadly boss mods and thus reduce my damage taken to a very small amount, however not enough to ignore the spores so I still get all 3.

Lastly on this fight it is a dps race so if your raid is having trouble downing him but are hitting the enrage timer, make sure your putting thorns on the tanks and if your confident with your healing and have all your hots on the tank during a phase where it isn't raid healing time, I like to throw a moonfire on rotface.

Heroic :

During this encounter, as with all Heroic encounters, does the same abilities but harder. However there is a small addition this time. Professor Putricide will now stand up on his balcony in the top right corner of the room and throw down Malleable Goo at your raid, which comes from his regular encounter. Since festergut can get pretty tank-healing intensive it is important that you keep an eye on where he is throwing the goo's so you don't slow down your cast speed and end up letting a tank die.

Pungent Blight as I'm sure you'll guess is buffed for this fight to do a lot more damage and will be hell on all healers if everyone doesn't get all 3 stacks (with the exception of mage's, shadow priests, etc etc people who can avoid the damage completely). The reason I say this is because in the regular encounter I always used to get 2 stacks and then just Barkskin through the blight. While this still worked I don't advise it I nearly died and its always better to keep a safe cushion.

through the blight. While this still worked I don't advise it I nearly died and its always better to keep a safe cushion.

As you can see in the video I decided to stand on the opposite side of the room as the balcony and if it was even thinking of coming in my general direction I would move to dodge it. Don't want to take chances and sometimes you need more time to run then you'd get watching to see if its coming to you.
