Blood-Queen Lana'thel Phase 1: This fight is a very healing intense fight mostly because of one aura that she uses called Shroud of Sorrow. This reaches everyone in the raid so every 2 seconds everyone in the raid will take damage. This makes Druid amazing healers for this fight. You will want to spread your Rejuvenation out over as many people as possible as the damage is not necessarily dangerous but large and constant. I decided to take off Glyph of Rapid Rejuvenation and replace it with Glyph of Wild Growth. This way you can spread Rejuvenation over more people as well as constantly keep Wild Growth on the melee at all times (I suggest keeping it on melee instead of ranged as the ranged will all be spread out while the melee are all together and you will get a lot more use out of it). This is of course only really beneficial for the 25-Man version of this fight, in the 10 man you will get farther if you keep the Glyph of Rapid Rejuvenation. The next ability is Pact of the Darkfallen. Which will do damage to anyone near you who is not linked to you this is one of the reasons you will want to be spread out during phase 1 as well as phase 2. This is also why you want a meeting spot that is easy to get to before you take much damage and away from everyone else. We use the center of the room and just position people around it, when you get linked you run quickly to the center and get it off. Another debuff that she will put on you is called Swarming Shadows which will drop fire below you that will deal damage to anyone standing in it, similar to the fire from the Lord Jaraxxus encounter. However unlike the Lord Jaraxxus encounter this fire is a pretty purple color. The main part of this encounter that you will notice is Vampiric Bite which will leave the bitten raid member with the Essence of the Blood Queen buff. This is what allows you to get her large health pool down within her short enrage timer and the control of this bite will determine the outcome of the fight It also has to do with the achievement for this boss: Once Bitten, Twice Shy. Chances are that as a Healer you will have to wait till you have more then enough dps for the fight to get the achievement but you'll get it in the end. Phase 2:When she is heading into phase 2 she will fear everyone and fly up into the air, fear wards and tremor totems should be used because she will quickly start using Bloodbolt Whirl which will fire off quite a few Twilight Bloodbolt's and if you are in range of other people you can easily be one shot. This phase is VERY short however it doesn't have to be long, if anyone is not spread out like they are supposed to be they will be dead before she finishes. Heroic:This boss is hardly any different on Heroic mode, you'll need to heal more and dps harder but other then that just do what you regularly do. The fact that this boss really isn't different at all makes it an easy hard mode and I would suggest that the blood wing be the first wing you try and progress through if your just starting heroics.
