Blood Prince Council Heroic Video New Blood Prince Council Heroic video up with music from Wicked. To check it out click the Blood Prince Council link to the right or Click Here. New Putricide Video with Glee Music! So, as usual I'm not going to explain the whole fight to you, I'm assuming you guys already know the fight and want to know a healing perspective of it. Its really not that hard as a resto druid because we can easily heal while running, which there is a lot of in this encounter. My advice is to pop damage reducers if the green ooze is going to hit you and no one is around, if the gas cloud is after you don't be afraid to pop into kitty form and use dash, it won't last long the healers can pick up the slack. Also there was a problem for my raid while we were learning the fight of green slime puddles spawning under the green oozes target, thus resulting in lots of raid damage. Position yourself near the green oozes target but don't stack on top of him until the green ooze gets close. During phase two keep an eye out for those orange flasks on the ground they are very easy to end up near without noticing. Another thing to look out for are the green slimes he throws in that phase, always on the look out for those cause they can come out of nowhere really quick. Phase 3 is the most intensive healing part for this encounter, save cooldowns and heroism for this stage and make sure not to corner yourself with slime now that there isn't an Abomination around to suck it up. comment Useful Healbot Codes One of my favorite features about healbot is the ability it has to show the debuffs certain targets have. For example their bar could turn a whole different color when Lady Deathwhisper uses Dominate Mind Which would provide for quick Cycloning action. How to input a new debuff that you would like Healbot to show:
Some useful skills that I added and their codes:
There are probably other places you can find these codes because they are the official world of warcraft codes for each skills no MMO's codes. They also may be add-able on other healing programs but I am not sure if or how because I use healbot. Happy St.Patricks Day! ![]() Happy St.Patricks day every! This is one of my favorite holidays of the year, yummy corned beef and cabbage with the family and a chance to celebrate my Irish heritage. I was trying to think of something to do today for the blog but I couldn't really think of anything. I wish they would come out with some fun holiday activities in wow for this as well, maybe a wand that transforms you into a gnome with a orange beard? Pots of fake gold coins? Rainbows? Maybe some cooking activities like with the thanksgiving holiday however implement corned beef and cabbage into it. There are tons of things they could do however they decided to give us the Nobel Garden instead... go figure. Customizing & Improving Healbot Healbot is one of the major healing add-ons that people use. It is also the one that I choose to use. The standard setup is pretty boring and takes up a lot of screen room however and I was using that for a while because I didn't know how to customize the look. But as you can see in most of my videos, it no longer looks like every other healbot out there.
![]() When re-designing your healbot you will want to be able to view it with the amount of squares that you would see in a raid, but you don't want to waste peoples time in a raid while you configure your healbot. To turn on fake bars click the Test bars off / on button in the general tab of healbot config screen. Right below the button are 4 scrub bars that will let you set how many squares will be added. in the top left you have the number of members that you have in the raid, I suggest that you set it to the size of the raid that you usually do. You can always make another pre made set up for a different size group. The other scrub bars let you choose how many tanks there are (you can make certain changes to player's bars who are set to main tank in the raid), players pets, mytargets. Also in the general tab there is an option to hide the "options button" as you can see when in a 25 man my healbot comes very close to my skills, because of this if we have any more then 25 people in the raid (which we never should need so I don't bother changing it) then the top row of skills are unclick able. Also with the options button not hidden it would block off those skills too, so I choose to hide it. When its hidden, if you want to bring up the menu you can just type /healbot config. Spells Tab ![]() Things that can be set to on click actions:
Another awesome thing that you can do with healbot in this tab is set it to use one of your trinkets when you cast a spell. I try and keep my trinkets constantly rolling so I have every spell set to start both trinkets when clicked. Currently I am not using any trinkets that require activation, but back when I did use some it was very very useful. At the bottom you can set up your Smartcast, this will only be activated when out of combat. For example whenever I am in combat my left click option is to use Rejuvenation. However when combat is over and there are some people dead in the raid, when I left click their name it will res them. Smartcast has 4 different options you can check for it to do, Resurrection, remove debuff, add buff, and heal the target. Smartcast will check and use in that order as well, so if the raid member has a debuff that needs to be taken off it will do that when you click instead of giving them mark of the wild. The only one that I don't suggest that you have selected is heal target, I used to have it pressed and it would annoy the hell out of me. Basically when everyone gets buffed up and they would need a quick top off I would click their name and expect a rejuv on them but I would start casting regrowth instead. Editing this tab in tiny ways to fit my paladin also has benefited me. For instance I have Healbot configured to be useful for a tank, it shows agro, health, and diseases of my fellow raid members then instead of being set to cast different heals on them it casts Divine Intervention, Hand of Salvation, Hand of Freedom, Hand of Protection, Hand of Sacrifice, Lay on Hands, or Sacred Shield (I have decursive for Purify). As you can see it saves me a lot of time when I'm tanking as well. Skins Tab This is by far the most complicated tab and basically where you will be able to customize the look of your healbot so that it works for you as well as looks awesome! At the top there is a drop down menu with several pre-made skins that came with healbot including one for Alterac Valley. Check these out and find one that fits what you want the closes then save it under a new name and we are ready to edit it for you. General sub-tag![]() At the very top where it says background, that is an option even though it doesn't look like one, if you click on it a window will pop up letting you set the color and the opacity of your healbots background in case you want it to look similar to grid. Lock Position: Your going to want to make sure that this is always checked, often times I've been healing and accidentally dragged my healbot to another part of the screen. This will make it so that you can't move it (kind of like locking your action bars so that you don't drag skills out and lose them. Anchor: this will allow you to set where you want the healbot to always begin and grow out from based on how many players are in your raid. Choosing where your anchor begins controls where your healbot will go and often has to be changed based on your UI. Hide Party Frames: this will hide the default blizzard party frames, which can also be done in your Interface so I guess take your pick as to how to manage that. Since you already can see what is going on with everyone via your healbot the blizzard part frames are basically just cluttering up your monitor. Disable out of range: this is especially useful during pvp. Everyone all over the battle grounds will be taken damage but you only want to see the ones that are in range for you to heal. Later on when your customizing you can choose what to do with these bars that are out of range and disabled, for example drop their opacity to 0 so you don't even see them unless you can do something about it. Monitor Agro: I use this more when I'm playing my tank however while healing when you see someone grab agro you can hot them up quickly before their health stops dropping. You can choose how you want it to be displayed, I for one use the option to have >> [name] << appear on people who have agro. Use fluid bars: this makes the player health changes move more smoothly, while this makes it look a lot nicer it also puts a hassle on your cpu and could create lag. If you ever have lag problems in raids I suggest you don't have this checked. Healing sub-tab![]() The healing bar check boxes will select who to give bars to, for example if you want to give bars to the hunters pets so that you can send heals their way as well, the following are what each check box stand for:
There are some situations in which the position of the bars on your healbot is very useful, for example when we were progressing on the lich king, there wasn't a alert for Necrotic Plague and obviously I didn't want to take too much time with my eyes off healbot. But I always new that if I got a raid Icon on my bar which was always the top left then I had to start running. Also I like how it sets my group before everyone else's, this lets me keep a close eye on those who are in my party without really having to read everyone's name to find each person. If my group is in trouble I can easily tell and it would be a good time to pop Tranquility. Focus has come in handy during the Valithria Dreamwalker encounter, set her as your focus and poof there she is on your healbot. But be aware that if you go in one of her portals it takes you two a whole different area and Dreamwalker will no longer show up right on your healbot, even when you come out of the portal. Inc. Heals sub-tabThis shows you what the players health will be like after the heals that are either on him or being cast on him (including the heals from other raiders). To be honest I don't look at it much if someone's health is down I just give them some HoTs and move on. Chat sub-tabThis will, as you probably guessed, notify people as you cast a spell. I do not suggest that you announce every single skill that you use as that would get pretty annoying. However I do announce in raid chat when I am using Revive and also when I use Rebirth mainly so that we don't burn more then one battle res on one person. Headers sub-tabHeaders will show you where each group is the pets where you are where the tanks are everything. However I don't use them because it takes up extra space. Who cares which group their in if they need heals then they need heals, that's just me though. Bars sub-tab![]() This is where the real customization of healbot comes in, designing how the bars look. Starting at the top left there is the texture scrub bar, this will set what the background texture looks like, not the color just the texture. next to that one will show your # of columns that you want to have. Since there is no Rows scrub bar this will be how you decide the shape of your healbot. Height controls the height of each bar as well as width will control the width of each bar. This way you can make all the squares really small, really big, or whatever you want to do to fit your healing style. Row and Col spacers will set the distance between each of your bars so that they don't all just blend together. Next we are getting into all the different opacity's this is very useful for telling if someone is in range for you to heal. The first opacity is for enabled bars. A bar is enabled whenever their health drops below the alert level (From the healing sub-tab), when they get agro, when they need a debuff removed, or when they need a buff. The incoming heals is pretty self explanatory, however it is directly related to the enabled opacity, the bar must be enabled before it can have incoming heals. The next is the out of range opacity which helps make bars that meet the requirements of enabled opacity still not show if they are out of your range and there isn't anything you can do about it anyway's. Disabled opacity is the opposite of enabled opacity obviously. Agro bar size is something I don't pay attention to much as a healer since there is nothing I can do about it until they get agro, and at that point it will show up as >> [name] <<. On my tanks setup of healbot however I have it set to a bigger size so that I can cast Hand of Salvation on them if it gets up too high. Next is Mana bar size which I'm sure you can guess what that does, I choose not to show this either since there would be nothing I can do about it if they get low. Ok I guess I could use Innervate on them however I generally save it for myself. Last choice is the color by bar which will color each bar depending on their class. I find this to be distracting and just not look as good as when its all one solid color. There are some fun ways to make this look good and if you like the look go for it, I just didn't think it would work well with me, especially since I record most of my fights I don't want all the colors to distract from the fight.
![]() If you don't use the color bars by class feature but would still like to see the different classes by color on your healbot you could check the change text by color option in this tab. You can also choose whether to show their amount of health on the bar or not, if you do there are 3 different options of how to show it:
Below all of that there are scrub bars that determine where in the text will be in the bar, what the font style will be and how big the font style will be. Below all of that there are 3 different bars that represent the bars when they are enabled, disabled, and when they have a debuff, if you click on the bars it lets you edit the text color and opacity. Icons sub-tabThis lets you choose which Icons you would like to show on the bars and where you would like to put them. As healers you should probably know about all the hots and debuff's that are on each target so I would suggest that you check all of them. It also gives an option to show the raid icons on the bars, which can also come in handy. Cure Tab This tab is probably one that you don't pay attention to much since decursive addon works very well at helping you manage curses and poisons. This tab can be a HUGE help however if you learn how to add certain debuff's to it. For example during the deathbringer saurfang encounter nothing shows up on your bars when a raid member gets Mark of the Fallen Champion. However it would be very helpful to see it highlighted on my bar, so to add the debuff to the list of ones shown on healbot you can simply follow these instructions :
Other then that I don't use healbot at all to remove curses and abolish diseases because decursive does that all for me. You can once again change the color and opacity of the bars by clicking on them. Buffs Tab Ever had a trouble remembering to give out Mark of the Wild? well with this you can have your entire healbot a different color for people who don't have the buff and that pretty much helps you remember almost all the time to give it out. Another cool option in this tab is that it lets you choose if you want to give out a certain buff to the entire raid or just to certain people. For example you can set it to show when the people set to tanks don't have Thorns. At the bottom of this tab there are 2 scrub bars, they will decide when to change the color of the bar back to showing that the member doesn't have the buff any more based on the duration of the buff. "Short buffs" are classified as anything below 1 hour and "Long Buffs" are any buffs that either are an hour long or longer.
Some of the information received from http://healbot.alturl.com/
I recently received my first copy of the World of Warcraft Official Magazine and it is amazing! It is full of sneak peaks, history, player interviews, and employee interviews (Including an extensive interview with Mike Morhaime the President of Blizzard Entertainment). Another great thing about this magazine is... there are absolutely NO ADVERTISEMENTS. They don't waist any pages of content on advertising so that they can jam pack it full of more interesting world of warcraft topics. HistoryThere has been a lot of history mentioned in the magazine explaining certain influential NPC's in the game such as Sylvana (who is so much more interesting then the Alliance counterpart Jaina). It explains a lot about the history of the new factions that will be introduced in catyclism, Worgen and Goblin as well as why they ended up on the faction that they did as well as their history and special abilities that will be introduced. Guild LevelingThe magazine had a few pages on the upcoming guild leveling system as well, explaining how it will be done (subject to change of course). For example how they will make it so that certain end progression guilds will level so much faster then less progression heavy guilds. Sneak PeaksA lot of the pages in this magazine are devoted to showing things that they plan on doing for catyclism. Such as why the land was torn up and which places were effected the most. There has been a huge change to the barrens for example. It will be cut in half by a giant fissure through the barrens, and the Alliance will now control the southern half of it. It Also reveals the location of a new raid and city like none you have ever seen before, the new under water city of Vashj'ir. My Opinion on some issues discussedSo you want to be a Worgen My guess is that this will be very similar to the druid transformations. You know how it was so cool that you could transfer into weird animals for a while, then eventually it got kinda old, you couldn't use cool forms while your battling such as Dartol's Rod of Transformation because you will be changed when you transform. My guess is that the worgens will be similar to that, I'm not saying that I'm not super excited for them as well as it will be cool to transform into a Worgen, but it will probably get old. I'm not going to spoil any more of the magazine for you but trust me it is very interesting and worth the subscription price. If this all sounds like something you'd be interested in you can get your own subscription by Clicking Here.
Barkskin Ok so basically, being a healer and all, I never really use Barkskin. Could Blizzard make Druids have the ability to cast Barkskin on another player? I ran into this on the MMO-Champion Forums and just had to say something, then I was thinking about it and decided this would be a good thing to post on my blog and see what you guys have to say on the subject, if anything. While it would be cool to have the option to cast Barkskin on another player I think it is a very useful skill as it is right now and I personally use it all the time. On the plus side this would come in quite handy in several fights such as if someone misses a spore on festergut or has to be battle res'd and you want to ensure they get healed up instead of instantly killed again. Also this skill only has a 1 min cool down so whenever you use it its not like you are blowing some huge CD. I'm not sure how often I'd cast it on someone else to be honest, I already use it all the time on myself and it has saved me many times in the past. However it is my guess that in Catyclism they will introduce some kind of damage reduction spell for druids, they have been going for this whole equal opportunity thing for all players recently and well as it was pointed out in the quote before just about all healing classes except druids have some sort of damage reducing ability. Festergut Heroic During this encounter, as with all Heroic encounters, does the same abilities but harder. However there is a small addition this time. Professor Putricide will now stand up on his balcony in the top right corner of the room and throw down Malleable Goo at your raid, which comes from his regular encounter. Since festergut can get pretty tank-healing intensive it is important that you keep an eye on where he is throwing the goo's so you don't slow down your cast speed and end up letting a tank die. Pungent Blight as I'm sure you'll guess is buffed for this fight to do a lot more damage and will be hell on all healers if everyone doesn't get all 3 stacks (with the exception of mage's, shadow priests, etc etc people who can avoid the damage completely). The reason I say this is because in the regular encounter I always used to get 2 stacks and then just Barkskin through the blight. While this still worked I don't advise it I nearly died and its always better to keep a safe cushion. As you can see in the video I decided to stand on the opposite side of the room as the balcony and if it was even thinking of coming in my general direction I would move to dodge it. Don't want to take chances and sometimes you need more time to run then you'd get watching to see if its coming to you. Rotface Heroic The Rotface encounter really wasn't that different and is probably the easiest Heroic boss to do after you get through the first 4. In addition to having more health and doing more damage he now uses Vile Gas which you will recognize from the Festergut challenge. So you just have to do everything the same way you did in regular mode but you can no longer stand near the boss. This means you get to dance around the floor floods, slime puddles, oozes, and make sure you know where to run when he uses Unstable Ooze Explosion. Lord Marrowgar Heroic In the Heroic mode of this encounter he of course has all his same abilities, however he now hits a lot harder. In our group we decided to stack all dps and healers in melee range, then have the tanks dodge the fires with a 3 point movement rotation. This works well and I would suggest it for your raid for sure. The first difference I would like to point out is with the Coldflame. I did not notice him using any more then usual however you will notice that it lasts a hell of a lot longer and will be everywhere as well as of course it will do more damage. The Bone Spike Graveyard does the same amount of damage as in every other version of this fight, 9,000 initial damage and 10% of health for every second its up. The problem with this in the heroic version however is that he doesn't stop casting bone spikes just because he's in Bone Storm, and yes you will take damage from bone storm while your spiked. Unlike in the normal mode the bone storm damage is not insignificant, it really hurts. He will also do 1 extra charge at someone in the Heroic version of the fight. The execution of this fight has to be tight until we have the gear (or they put the added damage and healing buff for ICC) to blow through this. The way we did it was we spread out around the small circle in the middle of the room about 5 seconds before bone storm happened and our lovely priest Oopo put shields on everyone. If anyone does not spread out early then their bubbles will break early, and thus not be very helpful. We all stay within this general area so that all healers can help heal all raid members and if one gets Bone Spiked then the others can pick up the slack while they are broken out. You can not spread out too far because if your not in range of at least 2 healers you will more then likely die. The one piece of advice that I would give everyone above all else is to concentrate on execution during the bone storm phase. If you execute everything right its not that hard to keep the raid up but if you have anyone who doesn't know what their doing the healers won't be able to help them New Video's Heroic Deathbringer Saurfang Heroic Blood Queen Lana'thel New Key Logger Hacks Authenticator Protected Accounts I'm going to start out by saying that everyone who plays wow should have an authenticator. An authenticator is a little device that will generate a random number every time you log into WoW that you have to punch in (in addition to your password) to log into your account. This will prevent you from getting hacked 99.99% of the time. A new virus spawned on the internet a few days ago and seems to be the first trojan capable of hacking a WoW account protected by an Authenticator. It was confirmed by Blizzard a few hours ago. This is bad news for all of us who started feeling safe and secure behind our authenticators. Now don't get me wrong having one will still protect you from 99% of key loggers out there but its not fool proof any more. How to know if you have itIf for some reason you try and log onto your account and it comes back with an error and you are pretty damn certain that you typed it in perfect, search for the file name "emcor.dll" which could be anywhere on your computer but will most likely be in "C:\Users\(Your user name)\AppData\Temp". If you find it, delete it immediately! Then log back into your account to kick whoever was on it back out, after that I suggest you go and update your anti-virus program. The fact that there is now a virus out there that will get through an authenticator is not an excuse to not have one, they still protect you from the majority of key loggers. Marrowgar, Deathwhisper, Gunship... Heroic Mode I went in here expecting something like H ToC which is pretty easy but no no no be prepared because these are pretty intense fights. Well at least Lord Marrowgar is pretty intense, I'll get more into each fight in general but I'll point out right now that Lord Marrowgar is an intense fight. Lord Marrowgar:In the Heroic mode of this encounter he of course has all his same abilities, however he now hits a lot harder. In our group we decided to stack all dps and healers in melee range, then have the tanks dodge the fires with a 3 point movement routine. The execution of this fight has to be tight until we have the gear to blow through this. Lady DeathwhisperThis fight was not near as hard as the Marrowgar encounter and not quite as different as they made the Marrowgar encounter either. I'll start in phase one. Phase 1:This phase went exactly the same as in the regular mode, you burn down the mana shield while you take care of the adds. There is something that sets this phase apart from the regular mode however. The adds have considerably more health then they do in regular mode so you really have to get them down quickly if you want to get the mana shield down in Time. Also she now uses Dominate Mind in 10 player mode, which she used to use in 25 man regular mode but not in 10 man regular mode, so if you have never done the encounter on 25 man mode this will be new to you. Dominate mind will mind control one of your raid members and this raid member can be killed easily however the mind control is not permanent and you will want to just CC the raid member until they come back to their senses. Phase 2:In phase two you are going to be faced with a few different changes. In regular mode you basically have a dps burn on the boss and its an easy kill, not so much in the heroic mode. During this phase in heroic mode, instead of the adds not spawning any more they keep spawning but instead of 3 spawning at a time from either side of the room there is only one at a time coming from the back. Also you remember the ghosts that spawn and explode on contact? ya well in heroic they now have a chance to 1 shot you, so run like hell and they will de spawn. She will also continue to use Dominate Mind during this phase. Gunship BattleThis fight is still free emblems so don't sweat it, and I only noticed 2 changes.
Potions, Elixirs, and Flasks Yes indeed people there are more things you can use in a raid then Flask of Frost Wyrm and Flask of Pure Mojo. I'm not talking bad on these two flasks, they are great, if you are having mana problems you use the mojo, if you aren't you use the Frost Wyrm it is a great idea and the fact that it persists through death saves you a bunch of money. But you can't close your eyes to the possibilities of using other combinations however that could actually improve your healing. You are allowed to use one Battle Elixir and one Guardian elixir at any one time. Flask of Frost Wyrm and Flask of Pure Mojo both count as a battle & guardian elixir, so you can't use any others while you have one of these in effect. As for what I feel is best for me, I am still under the haste cap so I use Elixir of Lightning Speed paired with Elixir of Spirit and it works very well for me. Yes I do have to refresh it every time I die and it costs a bit more then Flasks cost, but not too much more. Flasks are expensive and if you buy the mats to make the elixirs that you want and then find an elixir master to make them they come out pretty cheap. But you have to make sure you have an elixir master do it, they can proc and make quite a few extra for the mats of 1. After I get haste capped I'll change what I use, not sure what I'll choose to use yet, it'll depend on what I need at the time I suppose. Any suggestions? The Lich King Yes that's right we downed the Lich King tonight after lots of pulls and lots of practice. Its actually a very fun fight, it got old after about the 500th pull but we kept at it and as you can see it paid off. This fight is made up of 4 phases and I guess kind of another phase in between each of those phases... I know it sounds confusing but you'll see what I mean when you watch the video. When you start up this there will be an animation that unlike Lord Jaraxxus can not be skipped after you watch it the first time. So that will be fun to watch a million times over as you take your attempts at the fight. Phase 1 (100% - 70%):During phase one we had one of the tanks hold the lich king, and all the minions (small ghouls that look like a death knight's pet) that the lich king spawned. We had the other tank hold the Ghouls (big adds) separate from the rest of the group. We made sure to be within 10 yards of the big ghouls at all times, so when the Necrotic Plague got on someone they would be able to quickly run over and have it dispelled by a big add so it would jump on them. This is how we killed the big adds, no dpser's should have to touch them at all. We managed to be done with phase 2 with only 2 big ghouls. when the Lich King reaches 70% he does a phase transition. Also during this phase he will cast Infest which really isn't a big deal if you keep everyone topped off on health. Phase transition's:During phase transitions he casts Remorseless Winter which does quite a bit of damage to anyone not on the outside rim, so that's where you want to be. He will also cast Pain and Suffering This isn't so bad but if everyone were to get this every time it was cast, it would add up to be a lot of damage really quickly. To help manage this damage we broke up into 3 separate groups so that only 3 people (and one group of 4) would be hit with this at a time. Lastly he uses an ability called Raging Spirit that will create a not so mini and slightly transparent clone of you shortly after it's cast on you, which will have to be tanked and killed preferably before the end of the phase transition. He will also summon Ice Spheres that will choose a target and slowly come towards them. If these make contact with anyone (not just their target) I will throw them off the platform. They can and should be dps'ed down and killed. When the Transition is ending make sure to hurry off the the edge or you will crumble with it! Phase 2 (70% - 40%)This was probably the hardest phase to learn for our group. First of all he cast Summon Val'kyr which as I'm sure you weren't able to guess from the name, summons a Val'kyr. The Val'kyr will grab one of your raid members and head towards the edge of the platform, if it goes over the edge then it will drop the raid member and thus kill them, so what you need to do is kill the Val'kyr before it can get to the edge. The Val'kyr moves pretty quickly however it is stun-able and snare-able so do what you can and get your raid member out of there. The best way that we found to deal with this is to have everyone stack in the middle when he is about to summon a Val'kyr, so that the Val'kyr would have to travel farther. The most note able ability that he uses during this phase is Defile which will put a black cloud on the ground where the target is standing. This black cloud will cause a bunch of damage as well as grow every time it does damage. This is the biggest cause of wipes in the entire Lich King encounter and must be handled very carefully. Preferably you want to place the defiles on the edge of the room so that you can still stack in the middle when he is about to summon a Val'kyr. Also during this phase he still casts Infest so keep everyone topped off Another Phase TransitionPhase 3 (40% - 10%) During phase 3 he will no longer use Summon Val'kyr however he will continue to use Defile so be careful with that. But if you were able to make it through phase 2 then your raid probably has a good hold on the defiles, so time to introduce a new challenge. He will use an ability called Vile Spirits which will summon 8 vile spirits (10 in 25-Man mode) above the raid. They will run around like chickens with their heads cut off for a minute during which time your raid can use any non ground target skill (basically AoE's where you have to choose a spot on the ground to cast) to kill them. When they do come down they will chase raid members and explode on contact dealing 14k - 16k shadow damage (if your lucky some will be resisted). You can survive being hit by one, but if another explodes near you or on you then you are pretty much a goner, so be careful and if you need to pop skills that reduce damage taken (druids can use Barkskin). This was probably the scariest healing part in the encounter, topping everyone back up before they got hit by another spirit. He also will cast Harvest Soul on a random raid member which will be transported into his sword. When in his sword you will be faced with two spirits, one friendly and one unfriendly. If you are a healer you need to heal up the friendly target and it will kill the unfriendly one, if you are a dpser you need to kill the unfriendly spirit before it kills the friendly spirit. If you fail at your task the lich king will be enraged briefly and your raid will probably wipe. He will also continue to cast Infest so, as always, keep everyone topped off A Different Phase Transition:During this phase transition the Lich King will instantly kill everyone in the raid, DO NOT RELEASE because this is part of the fight you will be resurrected after yet another animation. Phase 4 (10% - Dead):During this phase the Lich King is floating and can not attack or move, he doesn't need to be tanked and no one needs to be healed, so for the last 10% he is just a free kill. |
