Glory of the Icecrown Raider 10-Man
[Glory of the Icecrown Raider (10 player)] I finally got my sindragosa mount! Most people got it last week in my guild but I had missed the day for full house and had to wait until this week. This is actually my first 310% flight speed mount! It really wasn't a very hard one to get all the achievements were pretty easy. The Heroic bosses took some time to learn (some more then others) but other then that the achievements were pretty easy. They no longer require [Neck-Deep in Vile (10 player)], which is a relief I think out of all of them that would be the hardest. Another thing I would like to say is that I apologize for not posting as often as I usually do it has been a busy month for me and I haven't even had much time to play world of warcraft, I've been making my raid times and then logging off and haven't really had much to put on here or time to work on it. I appreciate all of your support and I'm going to try and get more posts up in the upcoming weeks. If you have anything to say or ideas of what you'd like to see feel free to send me an email at Arria@TheRestorationDruid.com or you could just comment this post. comment I'm not quite sure who does the questioning for these things but I found the list on MMO-Forums and if you want to see the entire conversation you can Click Here. I of course saw it and knew there would be a question asked about resto druids so I scrolled down immediately to find it. Q. Why are Restoration druids the only spec in the game not receiving a new spell? I'm a lot less annoyed with Blizzard now, pretty sure they didn't mention all of that in the preview, probably because it was just a preview and not a list of changes. I'm especially excited for the raid wide Tranquility, which will be our AoE Heal kind of like the shamans new rain. ICC Druid Drop List Does everyone remember the ICC drop list? Well it was always a favorite for lots of people and has been lost in the Archives So I decided to bring it back out and hopefully let some more people know that it exists. I put a link to it on the side bar under "Tools". Keep in mind that these are not all BiS for Druid healers they are simple pieces that drop in ICC that could be used by a druid for healing purposes. I haven't updated it in a while so I'm missing quite a few heroic Items but I will be updating it shortly. Cataclysm Druid Class Preview: Restoration I've been really excited to see what kind of new stuff we get for cataclysm and had my theories on what might happen. Today the preview came out and... well I'm pissed. Why? well this should explain it: Unlike the other healers, Restoration druids will not be receiving any new spells. They have plenty to work with already, and our challenge instead is to make sure all of them have a well-defined niche. So we don't get new toys we get to do the same old thing again in cataclysm... /yawn. Ok so I guess there is a little bit of good news but not enough to make up for the fact that everyone is getting fun new skills except us. Additionally, we would like to update the Tree of Life model so that it feels more exciting when you do decide to go into that form. Our feeling is that druids rarely actually get to show off their armor, so it would be nice to have at least one spec that looked like a night elf or tauren (and soon troll or worgen) for most of the time. Lastly there was one more thing mentioned in the preview about the resto druids and that is: Restoration druids will have a new talent called Efflorescence, which causes a bed of healing flora to sprout beneath targets that are critically healed by Regrowth. So I guess we have a new effect that can trigger additional healing but it hardly counts as a new skill, it will just happen on its own from time to time. Though it could be awful exciting if it also heals nearby targets that are in the 'flora'. If this is true I am probably going to be using Regrowth a lot more often. In my opinion it still doesn't make up for the fact that we don't get a new toy though. Keep in mind that this is just a preview and they could always change things up or add a new skill for us, so cross your fingers. There are also a few things that look like they could help in raids even though they aren't resto-based skills. Stampeding Roar increases the movement of all allies by 40% for 8 seconds. This could have been useful on the Sindragosa fight, just pop into bear form and give your whole raid a speed boost. So we will have to experiment but I hope they end up giving us more to play with. The Noble Garden So as with most holiday quests, [Noble Gardener] was very taxing and annoying, you had to run around in circles finding eggs and picking them up before anyone else and you needed a lot of them! I suppose I could have probably done it late at night and it would have been easier but I did it in the late morning so it took a while. I don't know about your server but there were some harsh words being thrown around as well if you got to an egg before someone else. The most annoying part was trying to find a orc female. I was lucky enough to run into a dwarf female while gathering eggs which I thought was going to be hard too. It was very much like trying to find a rogue troll for the previous holiday achievement. I was going to put up a picture but I accidentally deleted my bunny ears so I'm just not going to bother. But Happy Easter everyone! I hope you had fun and found lots of eggs!! That Innervate is Mine!! So the other day someone in my raid asked me to innervate them, I told them that I usually save it for myself because I end up needing it for most fights and they thought I was crazy or something. So I decided to make a post on it and see what you guys have to say, as well as explain my logic behind it. This of course is not the case in every encounter. There are fights where it really isn't very healing intensive and I can spare an innervate for a dps that would like to see if he/she can boost his/her dps, however on most fights I end up needing it. If you have your haste up high enough to give you a nice 1 second global cool down (which I really hope you do considering there are so many things you can do to boost your haste even if you don't have great gear yet) and your constantly casting then your mana goes down no matter what your regeneration is at. My guess would be that [Trauma] and [Sundial of Eternal Dusk] make up the best in slot for weapons, if you can get your hands on those heroic items. Otherwise I think the regular version of them would be your best bet, however in some situations I think that [Dying Light] is better. How does this have anything to do with innervate? I'll get to that in a second however the main point here is that it wouldn't be a bad idea to get your hands on both of these items and keep them on hand. Now for how this relates to your innervate:
So as you've seen from some of my other posts I use healbot, and the buttons I click different spells are ctrl and shift, so I have key binds set up on either side of my keyboard by the control and shifts depending on which ones I am using at the time. The innervate related key bind is a macro: /target [your name]and I have the innervate on the bars so that I can see immediately when it is off CD and use it again. |
